Terms of Service

The service

We provide subscriptions to data feeds built from public building-permit records and related public data, delivered by email, CSV and other formats described on our pricing page.

The service is for businesses. By subscribing you confirm you are acting for a business, not as a consumer.

Data and accuracy

Our data comes from public records published by government agencies. Those agencies may publish late, change or remove records, or make errors. We clean and organize the data but don't guarantee that it is complete, accurate or current. A permit usually means a job is already sold; we don't promise any jobs, leads or revenue.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly unless stated otherwise (Enterprise is annual). Payment is processed by Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next billing period.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked in your receipt emails, or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Except for the specific service credits described on our pricing page (for example, a free month if a weekly delivery is late or missing), fees already paid are not refunded.

Acceptable use

• Use the data for your own business. Don't resell, sublicense or republish the feeds as a dataset without a written agreement with us.
• Follow the laws that apply to your marketing, including CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, Do-Not-Call rules and state privacy laws.
• Don't use the data to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing. It isn't a consumer report.
• Don't use it to harass anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, email active subscribers before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
